Ki-Mono

The world kimono consists Ki (wear) Mono (thing) and means “a thing to wear.”

“The charm of kimono is timeless, and it is borderless too. There were many rules on how to wear kimono as a garment. I try to wake old kimono fabrics up, redesign them with artistic flair, and reanimate them. This collection influenced by “Mottanai” which means “don’t waste what is valuable”.

The collection is very much an exploration of textiles and the multiple ways in which such a rudimentary garment can be modified to create exquisite pieces.
